BioDiv is intended for authorized users only and shall be used solely for approved purposes.
All use must support responsible decision-making and sustainable practices in line with
national biodiversity
conservation objectives.

Data Integrity & Accuracy
Users are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted, accessed, or processed
through
BioDiv is accurate, truthful, and not misleading. Any falsification, manipulation, or misuse
of data
is strictly prohibited.

Confidentiality & Information Protection
All data, records, and information accessed through BioDiv are confidential and proprietary.
Users shall not disclose, reproduce, or distribute such information without proper
authorization.
This includes data related to biological resources, operational records, and any sensitive
or protected information.

Sustainable & Lawful Use of Data
Information related to biodiversity, biological resources, or associated knowledge shall be
used responsibly,
ethically, and in accordance with applicable laws, including access and benefit-sharing
principles where relevant.
Any use contrary to sustainable practices is prohibited.

Compliance with Laws & Policies
Users must comply with all applicable Malaysian laws, regulations, and organizational
policies,
including but not limited to environmental regulations, biosafety requirements, and internal
governance procedures.
Non-compliance may result in access revocation and further administrative or legal action.

Personal Data Protection
All personal data shall be handled in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection
Act 2010 (PDPA).
Users must ensure that any collection, processing, storage, or sharing of personal data is
lawful,
secure, and limited to authorized purposes only.

Monitoring, Audit & Governance
BioDiv may be monitored, logged, and audited to ensure security, accountability,
transparency,
and compliance with governance and conservation objectives. Users acknowledge that such
monitoring
is necessary to uphold system integrity and public interest.

Limitation of Liability
BioDiv is provided on an “as is” basis. The organization shall not be liable for any loss,
damage, or consequences arising from misuse, unauthorized access, or failure to comply with
these Terms of Use.
